HELLO!
I’m Adi Elkin, a published illustrator based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with 10+ years of experience bringing stories to life through illustration. I work across children’s books, graphic novels, magazines, and any other inspiring project that calls for strong characters, clear storytelling, and a distinctive visual voice.
My biggest inspiration is retro vibes and nostalgia (The ‘80s rules!) and I’m especially drawn to detail-rich scenes - expressive characters, lively urban moments, buildings, and crowds. I also love illustrating the beauty of nature, especially trees and other kinds of flora.
I work in Procreate and Adobe Photoshop, and I still enjoy the good old pen, pencil, and paper.
When I’m not drawing, I’m usually practicing or teaching Aikido, hiking with my dog, playing all sorts of games, learning Japanese, or spending time with my family.
